Review by Ramona Keebler
Nick and James have been partners for 25 years. Their club is their life. When it burns down they meet Phil. Nick is instantly smitten with the rugged fireman and begins a relationship with him. This book was interesting in the fact that men (and vampires) in a long term relationship were looking for a third. Nick had other men on a casual basis but James had never joined in. I liked the certainty that enabled Nick to veer outside their bonding, yet never giving James any doubt as to who Nick was totally committed to. The glimpse into drag was enlightening. When Nick was in drag his pronouns were her/she. As Nick they were he/him. I don’t think I’ve seen that in the few drag books I’ve read. I think the author made the distinction nicely. The book was short so the interaction between the men was abbreviated but again, nicely done and thorough. I’d like to see more of their future. This review is based on the Amazon scale.
