Audiobook: Overall 5, Performance 5, Story 5 I’m not sure what it says about me that I liked this book much better than book one which was all about humiliation with some pain play and it was a bit too much for me. However, Unkinked is all about pain & I didn’t mind it at all. I think it’s because the sub, Maddy, begged for it & seemed to need it. Derreck is a Dom & a sadist and he’s happy to give Maddy what he needs. I liked Maddy & felt a bit sorry for him most of the time. He’s always felt like he didn’t belong & he’s afraid of what people will think if they find out about his need for pain. It’s a bit into the story before Maddy & Derreck embark on more than a Dom/sub relationship but once they do, I thought they were really good together. Shannon Gunn did an even better job performing this story than he did Kinked Up. There were a couple places where there was a bit too much drama in his voice for me but overall it was great.
