Sarah Masters wove a tale that took my heart, squeezed it as I reeled with the injustices forced upon the men and then subsequently allowed it to soar as the old adage ‘what goes around comes around’ was delivered in spades to those who tormented Joe and Ross. A timeless story of love and understanding where pasts haunt a person, but if there is unity against all odds then love can overcome anything.

The story is much more than a cowboy love story. It's an exceptional one which I enjoyed more than I expected. If you enjoy reading about cowboys, gay men, hot sex, intrigue, family skeletons, a very dysfunctional family, and two men finding each other against all odds, you may like this story. Thank you, Sarah, for bringing two outcasts together and giving them a happy ending.

This is a nice change of pace cowboy/love story. It will make you mad and it will make you smile. I really liked how the ending covered a long time period in the men's lives. It made the story even better.

This book is London meets America. 2 MC's one an ex London undercover copper and the other a horse rancher from the USA. Ross leaves London for a complete new start after his last undercover job went south. He heads to the authorised of the world to America. He seems to jump from the frying pan and into the fire. The only good thing is Joe. This book is very different from what I was expecting, the storyline is very complex in lots of ways. This is a book that you have to read fully or you will miss important points that are hidden within the words. Overall a well written complete book than spans over the years. I loved the HEA and the epilogue was just perfect.

I thought this was a very intriguing story. The story is well written and I was so hooked I read it in one setting. If you like cowboys, undercover cops, suspense, a good love story and some pretty hot man-sex this is for you!

Unusual gay romance with a strong mystery and excellent long ending. I found this an enjoyable read with strong leads in a sexy and emotional romance. I can’t spoil the ending but I loved it. The men’s emotional denouement comes at about 75% in so we get lots of after-story which I loved. Readers see how Ross helps Joe but also how Joe in a way rescues Ross from his demons. Add in the epilogue of Ross and Joe’s life together and I was a happy reader!

I honestly loved these two men as a couple, you could feel the need they had for each other, whether the emotions were present or not. I feel the need to recommend this book because I can’t deny that I unquestionably enjoyed it.
