This steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers captivated with a fascinating new world with some interesting elements that make for a refreshing change. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and bring make the reader feel as if they are there right along with the strong compelling characters that really grab the reader’s attention.. The plot is an exceptionally fascinating mystery romance combination.
Nikki McCoy has created a superb thoroughly enjoyable saga. Crimson Mate illustrates emotional drama such as fear, cruelty, scenes of homicide, as well as sensual intimacy. I particularly enjoyed the different shifter species in the same blood related family.

I really liked this book! My favorite part of a shifter book is when the two mates meet. The instant attraction and need to protect that they feel. I have always been a fan of shifter books for those reasons. You get that with this book along with the one who fights it and the perfect amount of angst. Once I started this book I could not put it down. Manning and Quin clicked to me, they fit together. Now I wish had gotten to see them as a couple a little more then I did but otherwise this was a good book! I would definitely recommend it.

This storyline is really good and the story is really well written, we get to know the characters really well and although they do have their faults, which make you want to slap them at least once, they do crawl into your hearts.
