Let’s face it, you don’t get more badass than Kira. Add in his obviously adoration for Matt and the fact that he is 100% a momma’s boy, you can’t help but love him. In Kira, Matt finally finds a reason to come out of hiding. Add in a little mystery, some good friends, and some seriously kick ass fight sequences, you have a fun read. The angst level is surprisingly low for as tense as some of the turns the investigation takes are. You know that Matt, Kira, and the rest of the Fab Four will come out the other end stronger for the struggle.

Matthew wants. Seriously, he does. He wants the streets clean of scum. He wants people to be safe. He wants to not have to hide so deeply in the closet that he smells like mothballs...I knew that NR Walker could do fun and angst...By the time I found h

I loved how Matt’s coworkers rallied behind Kira and accepted him. Having Kira put himself in harms way for the fellow officers wives went a long way in putting to rest that gay men were all soft. There is nothing soft about Kira. He and Matt are two of my favorite alpha men and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Point of No Return is at its heart a coming out romance with a police detective crime story built into its plot.
N.R. Walker deftly handles moving a budding romance into a mystery story by allowing the two different plot points to morph into one another making for a really fine story overall…
a classic crime novel with a romantic twist that leaves you just a little breathless and smiling by novel’s end. Well written and executed, this novel places N.R. Walker on my auto buy list for sure.

This story is well written, the characters are great along with the supporting characters, and we never get bored with what is going on, the story pulls us along nicely.
The part near the end where Matthew worries about Kira is brilliantly written, with both of them reacting as you would expect in that situation, but the love they have and the slightly awkward acceptance that they find with Matthew’s friends is great.
This is a great story that covers all aspects and gives you plenty of romance, action, suspense and some wonderful hot sex.
So I recommend this to those who love cops, hot men, action, suspense, a slight mystery, romance, danger, and a happy ending for some great characters.

N.R. has outdone herself with this suspenseful, intense love story. Matt and Kira have all the attributes found in heroes: strength, consideration, bravery, and honor. They also have exceptional looks, talent, charm, and sex appeal. They are full of fire, in and out of bed. Their lovemaking comes across as open, honest, sincere, and endearing. It is easy to become enamored with them like I most certainly did. The other characters, i.e., Kira's parents, and the men he worked with, gave Matt and Kira the all important support needed to keep events moving and give them depth. Even the bad guy was exceptionally bad.
If you want to read an exciting, intriguing, angst-ridden love story, with some unexpected twists, then you won't want to pass up this book. Thanks, N.R., for introducing me to Matt and Kira. It's a marvelous story and I look forward to reading more about them in the sequel.
