Very well told story for the length. Good character development & pacing. I loved Dan! So sweet & vulnerable because of his status as a loner and because of his feelings for Blythe. I was glad the climax & resolution didn't come right at the last minute as often happens in shorter books. (I hate when it all happens in the last few pages!) It was nicely done here, with the moment of danger coming early enough to play out in an emotionally satisfying way.

This is a love story with two strong characters butting heads and wills - but without some of the more macho elements I've seen in many other books...I really liked this shifter world and the weres that inhabit it!
