“Are you going to stand there or are you going to strip and get fucked?” Dillon tossed his button-up shirt into a growing pile of dirty clothes and went to work on the fastenings of his suit pants, with a raised eyebrow toward his partner.
Dillon had scented Rick long before the quiet squeak of the door to their shared cabin had announced his arrival. As if Rick had read his mind, the beta had returned home at just the right time.
After a long week of meetings with the pack councils in the region and discussing one problem after another, Dillon felt tied in a strangling knot. The burden of stress and responsibility bore down on his shoulders as if it were the weight of the entire world. He’d gladly accepted the assignment, since wolf pack alphas protected the others from the top to the bottom, with no exceptions. Besides, his position as head of security forced him to keep abreast of any and all potential threats to his rather large family. Attending conferences fell under the category of proactive oversight and information sharing. Though tedious, traveling to a neutral location proved necessary to keep updated and continue the pack’s peaceful path. None of that bothered him.
What did cause concern was a juicy tidbit from this particular event that still sent shards of worry through him, occupied his mind through the entire seven-day stay, and lingered to the present, which explained his surly mood and rigid tension.
“Wound tight, huh?” Rick arched a blond eyebrow but began to shuck clothes at a rapid pace.
“You have no idea.” Normally he used more tact and a trifle more manners when greeting Rick. Today, his lover took his chances.
The last of his clothes fell to the floor, leaving Dillon nude, his granite-hard erection jutting straight out, the red tip already leaking a drop of fluid.
In a matter of seconds, Rick stood just as naked. Dillon’s mouth watered at the sight of the tall, ripped wolf shifter. Blond hair topped Rick’s head in short waves, the ends just tickling his collar—when he wore a shirt. His solid frame held plenty of muscles full of precise definition and power. Definitely a looker. His wide chest had a few sprinkles of light hair that led to a narrow waist where the fuzz solidified into a fine line, aiming straight to a thick, quickly swelling dick—a perfect complement to Dillon’s own darker coloring and similar build.
“It’s going to be rough. Can you take it?” His gaze rose so he could watch Rick’s face.
“Rough? What other kind is there with you?” Rick grinned slyly, his eyes flashing with unbridled lust.
Dillon growled and stepped forward.
Rick shook his head as amusement covered his face. “Yeah, I can take whatever you dish out.”
“Good.” Dillon licked his lips.
After cupping Rick’s head, Dillon pulled him in close, meshing their lips together in a preview of the hard coupling to come. Rick gave back with as much gusto, his tongue flicking over Dillon’s in open invitation.
Nearly desperate with need, Dillon broke the kiss. “On the bed.” He waited for Rick to move before heading to the side of the bed and digging through the drawer of the bedside table. Having found the items he sought, he grabbed them then returned to stare longingly at Rick.
Tossing an item up in the air, he caught it before throwing it again. He smiled as Rick watched, a tiny spark of excitement flickering across his face. “Sit down. I think you’re gonna need this.”
Rick immediately complied, moaning low and flinching as Dillon first squeezed just behind the head of his cock, waiting a few beats for the erection to fade somewhat, before snapping the metal cock ring on.
“Damn.”
They both knew when Dillon used the device that he had no intention of ending the play any time soon. Too wound up this time, Dillon simply brought out the ring to jack up Rick’s level of arousal by using the tool. As much as he wanted this session to last for hours, slow and leisurely would have to wait. Too much pent-up stress and need filled him right now to last longer than a quick, hard fuck.
Standing back, Dillon sucked in a deep breath and admired the vision before him.
He preferred his lovers experienced, well hung, with thick muscles and capable of handling his pounding and begging for more, which left out humans, as they tended to wilt long before he came close to tiring. Shifters, on the other hand, typically kept pace as long as they enjoyed a bite of pain along with their rounds of pleasure. Rick fit the bill perfectly.
They had belonged to the same pack, had been raised together, and had gravitated toward one another from almost the beginning. As their personalities and position in the large pack had stabilized, they’d turned to one another as confidants, friends and often as lovers. Older pack members, both male and female, had initiated them both into the realm of a sexually active wolf shifter, but they sought out one another almost exclusively these days to care for their base desires and needs. Dillon’s alpha status matched well with Rick’s high beta level, putting them nearly on equal footing and their sexual preferences clicked perfectly.
Growing up in the Midwest, I began reading romance novels in high school, immediately falling in love with the genre, to the point where I decided to write professionally for a career. However, that dream splattered against a brick wall, resulting in a quick death in my first writing class in college when my professor told me bluntly that I wasn't any good at it. I shifted gears quickly, and left my writing dreams behind, eventually settling on becoming a nurse.
A few years back, I stumbled across a fan-fiction writing site on a favorite author's webpage. I began to read stories others wrote, not only making some wonderful close friends from the experience, but also, really learning to write for the very first time. Here I was able to share short stories, practice my writing skills, and truly develop into a writer. More than that, the experience allowed me to revitalize my dream, as I rediscovered joy in writing. Now, I spend my days off with my alpha male characters, quick witted heroines, and see how much trouble everyone can get into.
When I'm not working or writing, I enjoy working in the garden, canning, and seeing my backyard as a living canvas for my whimsical landscaping, and, of course, reading romance novels.
