Theo is an English Lit student struggling to make ends meet. When the handsome stranger that comes into his work every All Hallows Eve finally introduces himself as Sam and offers Theo cash to help him stay awake all of Halloween night, the deal seems too good to be true.
There's just one catch. Theo and Sam have to stay at Ashton Hall, a centuries-old mansion said to be haunted by the Grey Lady, the vengeful spirit of a jilted bride. The stories say she walks the corridors every Halloween night, hellbent on punishing any who have betrayed anyone they have claimed to love.
Theo, who loves ghost stories but far from believes in them, thinks getting a night with the man he has fantasised about for years is worth anything. But as the night wears on, he can't help but wonder whether Sam was right to be scared all along...
